The product range grows continuously over the years and, in addition to standard hand tools, soon includes special tools and workshop equipment for the automotive industry. By the mid-1990s, more than 1500 items were already on offer. At this time, the company had four employees.
At the turn of the millennium, Bernd Schottke's sons Frank and Christoph Schottke join the company, followed a few years later by his third son Benjamin. They continue to drive the company's growth, initially together with their father, who finally hands over BGS to the second generation in 2008. The new company building on Bandwirkerstraße in Wermelskirchen was built in the same year. The sons continue to focus consistently on what has made BGS successful: Tools and workshop equipment at a convincing price-performance ratio. Today, our family business on Bandwirkerstraße in Wermelskirchen employs around 90 people and offers a range of around 9000 items in over 100 countries around the world.

Bandwirkerstr. 3 is located in the new Ostringhausen industrial estate directly on the A1 motorway.
Coming from Cologne, leave the A1 at the Wermelskirchen exit, turn left and leave the first roundabout at the second exit (straight ahead) into the Ostringhausen industrial estate. Our building is on the left-hand side.
Coming from Dortmund, leave the A1 at the Wermelskirchen exit, turn right and leave the first roundabout at the third exit (turn left). Our building is on the left-hand side.
Our external warehouse is located in the new Straßerhof 36 industrial estate.
